hi, i'm ash!
Travel writer & host, cultural explorer, and architecture & interiors freak.
Every week, we're exploring global culture through the lens of the home. From floorplans to fixtures, we examine how houses are built, designed, and decorated around the world (with a side of sass, of course!)
The only podcast where we pass on the pyramids and poke around in the plumbing. I’m Ash, and I'm, exploring the strange, smart, and wonderful ways houses are built, designed, and decorated around the world.
A new series of OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES books designed to help you try on a new life in different places around the world—by getting to "go behind closed doors" inside local homes to discover what it's really like to live there.
Omg Ash! I came to say…. That wallpaper? Looks so amazing and so expensive and so unique at the same time! I thought I was the only person in today’s era that loves wallpaper! 😻 🤭
Also… Great ideas!
Ashley 💕
I feel like you just jumped through my wall like the Kool-Aid man with some kick ass, thought-provoking ideas on a Friday! I’m all in on #3 since we are the opposite of mass produced fast fashion that is ruining the planet. We create heirloom pieces. When everyone is looking to scale, I just want to make beautifully crafted products! Every day I’m getting some message about a discount from some retailer and I think that something has to be broken if all brands are making a butt-load of inventory and then putting it on sale constantly.
“HEIRLOOM PIECES” is such a chic term. Can we please use that in all your copy?!!? Like, I WANT A HEIRLOOM PIECE AND I DONT EVEN HAVE KIDS.
Ash, how do you create a high concept package around something unsexy like instructional design?
