I’ve been running this newsletter for awhile now – 33-Second Flight. The latest aviation news brought to you in 33 seconds a day, with AI art interpretation of the news with anthropomorphic cats

  2. Marissa Garza says:

I talk about how the creative process is both messy and necessary and what tools and systems can support us through it in my newsletter- Mess-essary Moments.

  3. Do It Ugly Project says:

This article made me feel way better about my idea- I’m a fine artist but have been experimenting with painting on non-traditional substrates, some
People might even call it trash. Instead of canvas, how about vintage found paper, old books, thrifted clothing or literal trash. Also just moved to Mexico 2 weeks ago and finding well made traditional canvas is proving difficult, so this could be exactly how I skirt around that fact. Thank you Ashley!

  4. Justyna Frank says:

Hahahaha! I didn’t even know I was doing “Manifestation vs. Paying Your Bills”. My side Substack project that I just started, The Year I Got Rich, takes the 1907 classic The Science of Getting Rich and applies its principles to a brick and mortar small business to see if it will –in fact– result in riches. Because, why not? πŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ

  5. Lucie Le Guen says:

Here’s my idea : fictional interviews of CEOs, marketers and entrepreneurs from fictional worlds (think, social media manager for Daenerys Targaryen, marketer of Wayne Enterprises, branding for the ministry of magic) that explore all the ways companies could use fiction in their branding/marketing.

  6. AliisK says:

Love Traffic Cone Aesthetics! My idea is current urban design trends unpicked in an irreverent way. Take the serious, make it fun and digestible. Need to find more cone stuff!

The Newsletter

Every week, we're exploring global culture through the lens of the home. From floorplans to fixtures, we examine how houses are built, designed, and decorated around the world (with a side of sass, of course!)

The Podcast

The only podcast where we pass on the pyramids and poke around in the plumbing. I’m Ash, and I'm, exploring the strange, smart, and wonderful ways houses are built, designed, and decorated around the world.

The Books

A new series of OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES books designed to help you try on a new life in different places around the worldβ€”by getting to "go behind closed doors" inside local homes to discover what it's really like to live there.
