I was laughing out loud – just the sip of water I needed today.

  2. Lee Romano Sequeira, CSMS says:

“Maybe it’s just…yourself, but hydrated.” Thanks for the reminder! πŸ™‚ My body seems to think it runs on coffee and wiesecracks!

    • Ash Ambirge says:

Mine too, apparently! LOLLLLLLLL. (Seriously, I climbed a bunch of stairs the other day and GOT A LEG CRAMP.)

  3. Rachel says:

So gorgeous Ash! What a joy you are. Loved reading this today, a timely reminder to go gently on myself. The world is full of riches to discover…

(I need to send you that reading list!! Sorry for the lateness 🌸) xxx

  4. MadLaser says:

Ma chΓ¨re Ash, you did it again: 1) this post, your words arrive right when I needed them (almost creepy how you can know this?) 2) You summed-up all the valuable life-advices from a dozen of sources and made it a pleasure to read, made to stick, without suggesting “have you tried yoga” or make me color a water glass icon for every glass of water I did not want to drink 🀘 MERCI !! PS Is this the intro to your new book??

    • Ash Ambirge says:

LOL! “Have you tried yoga??????” 🀣 🀣 🀣 🀣 🀣 🀣 🀣 🀣 I promise you I will never suggest that, though i am starting to think that I NEED TO TRY YOGA.

  5. ShinyGirl says:

    Holy Shit and Salvation.
    My favorite hype person.
What to read when you need a kick start or a fire under your ass.

    • Ash Ambirge says:

Well this just made my LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Can I put “favorite hype person” in my epitaph? lol Not to be confused with “favorite hyper person,” which I am also. 🀣

  6. Nicole S. says:

Dying !!!!!! How do you know exactly what I am feeling at all times! Gotta hydrate.

  7. Nicki Kane says:

Have to admit I actually teared up at this because at 52 I can’t remember the last time I felt actual joy in doing things and I’ve been mulling over what is out there (or in here- gestures vaguely at brain) that will allow me to feel it again.

I have a massive life change coming up at the new year as I exit a business that I’ve had for 11+ years and move into coaching, and it’s going to allow me time to spend with myself- and let me tell you, that is the SCARIEST MF thing out there- as well as the most exciting! I’ve got a teenage daughter at home that once she’s decided what her journey is after school I’ll be on the road and exploring all the amazing parts of the world I’ve been aching to see, but in the meantime I have time and money to put into the things that will bring me joy.

And you know what that list looks like right now?

    Pottery classes
    Burlesque classes
    Getting my first tattoo
    Exploring spirituality and meditation
Saying yes without thinking when a friend of mine asked if I want to go with her to the Amazon in 2027 as she’s found an amazing shaman and wants to explore Ayahuasca with them (Note- I googled what that is after saying yes cause I didn’t know what it was and thought it was a type of meditation and… still saying yes but holy shit oops!!!!)
And going for walks, having coffee with myself, having friends round to dinner and all the things that make me feel whole.

And Ash, I thank you for opening my eyes to the possibilities in life and I WHOLEFUCKINGHEARTEDLY celebrate you for not needing half your life to figure out that we should just do what makes us happy!!!

  8. M.J. Schwartz says:

This was exactly what I needed. And now I’m going to go drink a glass of water.

  9. Vivian says:

OMG “the part of you that still believes in more.”

  10. Megan Lee says:

Jesus this preached all the way into my sinful soul!!!! If you need me, I shall be course correcting. ❀️‍πŸ”₯

  11. Laura Fewer says:

New subscriber here! This post reminds me of my current adult beginner guitar classes. I wanted to do it for fun. I’ve always wanted to learn. But, I suck so badly and get so mad at myself, and my teacher is like…. it’s okay to be a beginner at something; it’s literally mandatory. So I’m trying to remind myself to enjoy the process of learning and not just cursing my weak fingers every week.

    • Ash Ambirge says:

Oh no way – that sounds like SO much fun!!!! Isn’t it just so lovely to do things for the sake of pleasure? I remember when I first started taking salsa classes, all of my friends thought I was a psycho. 🀣 But, these are the things that enrich our lives. Go, Laura!!!!!!!!!!! And, hi!!!!!!!!!!!!
